This is a wonderfully fresh and aromatic white bursting with grapefruit and lime flavours, notes of freshly cut grass and a long finish with a twist of minerality. An excellent wine to enjoy with mildly spiced dishes.
Grown on steep terraces near the village of Jeruzalem in Slovenia, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes are hand-harvested to ensure optimum quality.
In the press: “…a very pure, limpid and aromatic version of sauvignon, with zippy acidity and fruit flavours…”
David Williams, The Observer, 20 March 2011 (2009 vintage)
“…this herbal, spearminty number from Slovenia with its lipsmackingly dry finish, will give you pause for thought.”
The Independent, 26 February 2011 (2009 vintage)
"Ever tasted a wine from Slovenia? This is your chance to sample a turbo-charged zinging white with snappy zesty citrus intensity that could wake a slumbering rhino at forty paces with a single whiff. Like diving into a lemony ice bath, this is a punchy white that’ll ring out like a bell across your palate. It’s very shrill and bright and delivers Sauvignon Blanc’s trademark grapefruit ping. It is a splendid apéritif to serve chilled or to pair with simply prepared fish and shellfish dishes."
Wine critic Olly Smith chose this as one of his weekend wines (6 January 2012)

Sauvignon Blanc
This white grape variety produces a highly aromatic wine with an array of flavours including lemon, green apple, gooseberries, asparagus and passion fruit. Rarely oaked (although there are exceptions, such as Fumé Blanc from the US), Sauvignon Blanc wines are typically fresh, crisp and usually best consumed when young.
